DNOS President appointed by Ohio Governor to sit on the Ohio Rehabilitation Services Commission (ORSC). In October 2009, DNOS President Frank Anderson was appointed by Governor Ted Strickland to sit on the Ohio Rehabilitation Services Commission. While losing Frank as the DNOS President was a loss for DNOS it was a gain for people with disabilities in Ohio to have Frank on the Commission. Frank has been an advocate for people with disabilities for over 30 years and will continue to be as a Commissioner. Frank had to resign as DNOS President so there would be no conflict of interest since DNOS receives funding from ORSC for Solidarity conferences. Frank will continue to be involved with Solidarity planning and continue working for the PVA in Cleveland. We congratulate and wish Frank the best of luck in his future endevors.

Taking Frank Andersons place as President of DNOS will be current Vice President, Roger Flint. Roger excepted the position at the December board meeting. Roger has a thirty year history as a disability advocate, past owner of Forward Motions van conversions and has served as President on the board of trustees for the Access Center for Independent Living in Dayton, Ohio. Roger is also a graduate of Wright State university and a disabled veteran. DNOS is confident Roger will do a great job as the new President.
